Pets

Pets Do we love dogs because we can dominate them? They do as they are told (after some struggle) and love us unconditionally because they know it is their only chance of survival; and after a while do they really love us as a slave loves his master? Wolves on the other hand will never give a paw they refused to be enslaved, want to be free of human’s interference and we hate and fear what we cannot dominate or train to do our bidding; maybe it is wrong to keep pets? Dogs have been with us since stone age when being with humans were less stressing than having to compete with wolves for food? When the moon is full dogs howl their distress asking if they have made the right choice?

I had a dog and loved the silver spot right next to his nose that disappeared when he slobbered my chin. He'd do the twist cause his tail was too short to wag. Sometimes late at night he'd hear a noise and.......... jump under my covers until the mouse ran down its hole. I was a great guard human.

I remember my dog Bambi, she was sweet to everyone, but inthe evening when I closed the door and settled down, she got furious if anyone knocked on the door I think she read my thoughts, you see dogs watch us more than we watch them

very insightful! i often wonder about how dogs feel when i see them straining at the leash and it makes me feel bad that we've so easily become their "masters."
