Perfect, Just Perfect
Perfect,
full formed
outstretched branches
tickling the winter sun
ice coated pine cones
dangling in dappled light
long forgotten feathers
reds and blues dancing
in windblown nests
a small heart carved
love's memory reflected
off my axe blade
Perfect, just perfect,
so I left it that way.
