War messengers would not be doves 

nor would crows be sent to signal peace. Perhaps

a last desperate plea could turn on a message

misunderstood? Man is fool enough. 

 

Bold murdered crows I spied tonight, Bright golden feathers strong. Beaks of blinding chrome annulled, Bound tight in alabaster down, Blunts for now frail mortal fright.
