Patience is my superpower On full display every hour If someone mad gets in my face My patience helps me maintain grace When railroad crossings block the road I simply enter patient mode If caught up in a traffic jam My calmness filmed by traffic cam Long checkout lines leave some irate Patience helps to endure the wait Restaurant wait times are the worst Composure wards off loud outbursts Patience is my superpower Keeps my life from going sour One exception my Kryptonite Sibling face-offs leave me uptight! *** November 5, 2019 F T I series 19 patience Brian Strand, sponsor *** Poetry notes: 11/5/2019 Image by anncapictures from Pixabay Poetry form: Kyrielle - "... a poem type that is made of quatrains. Quatrains are four stanza poems. A kyrielle is actually a French form of poetry. The kyrielle is also a rhyming poem so the quatrains must, in fact, rhyme in some way. Each line of a kyrielle poem must consist of eight syllables. The rhymes in a kyrielle occur in couplets, meaning every two lines rhyme with one another. A kyrielle poem can be as short or as long as the writer wishes, so long as it contains the original rhyming quatrain, it is a kyrielle." -PoetrySoup, Types of Poems, "Kyrielle"
