Our Life's Whip
Pray, why are the youth so much into drugs nowadays
See you the number of boys and girls so zealous to get high
When to matters pertaining to daily living, they care nay
Like enjoying a good story book or even savoring the blues of rainy days
Why, does life be so tough
Does it weigh heavy on us, this world's bluff
I do admit that fallen beings we are
That always, with ourselves, we keep leading a never ending war
But then, are drugs the way out
Pray, do drugs make us all strong and stout
Why, do we get to feel so good about ourselves when high
Do we get to accept it then, that this life, this world does be a lie
That it matters not if we shall grow old, change and die
That it matters not that we do pray to some power for which we have not any proof
That it matters not if we shall never get to unravel the mysteries of the sky
That it matters not if we do live as beings so blind and deaf
Are drugs so powerful
Or is life so dreadful
Why, are we in a prison here
A prison with rules we cannot adhere
A prison to which we did not choose to live in
But to which we did fall while being indulged in sin
So that now, we do need drugs to escape
Yes, we do need drugs to act as our ride's whip!
