One With the Sky Spirits
I relinquish all emotions,
all sadness that could fill oceans;
in a great leaping, twirling prance,
I abandon myself to dance.
Spinning- I surrender my grief,
that came to me a deathly thief;
whirling breathless in a wild trance,
I abandon MYSELF to dance.
Reckless and wanton I leap high,
I leave forsaken and just fly;
empty of tears- spirits I glance,
I abandon myself to d a n c e .
All the spirits are watching me,
I see the them- the he and she;
pray give this Indian girl a chance,
I abandon myself to dance.
