On Ocean
On Ocean
Turbulent was not the Ocean.
Wonderful largest liner floated safely beyond the breakers
Inspired by luxurious sea voyage
Affluent passengers sailed happily.
Sea was calm,happy were passengers.
Captain was relaxed,sailors not anxious.
Tension-free ship suddenly struck by hidden ice berg.
Abrupt rush of water-flow flooded the deck, causing ship wreck
Not enough life boats to accommodate all innocent helpless souls
Ill-fated Titanic sank.
Those jumped on sea frozen in ice-cold water.
Captain Smith and sailors in the ship prayed till last breath facing death
Ship Carpethia reached too late to rescue a few in the life boats still afloat
