Ole man winter rolled up his white bed Donned his wool coat and covered his head Dragging spring upon his gown Happy folks no longer frown Not March was said winter's face turned red Ole man Winter turned swiftly around Threw his white bed all over the ground Spring's sun melted it to slush Warm air came in a fast rush Winter exhausted did a quick rebound

I love your personification of "Ole Man Winter," Sara. You described well those days when winter mounts a "rebound" as the feel of spring is delayed. There were some wonderful entries in this category. Congratulations on your second-place win! Best wishes, Carolyn

Charles, I have seen how the New England states are having a terrible time with one snow storm after another. Here in the south we have not had snow this year but it will warm up some then another cold and rainy spell will come through. Thanks for the visit to my page. Sara
