Oh, Spring When You Smile
Oh! spring, when you smile, how the verdant hills glow
Where the willow trees sway, waltzing in your praise
For the flowers you sprout through remnants of snow
And the blooms you glaze, in gilded morning rays
While the bluebirds sing and dance to steal your show
As farmers till, near green prairies, where cows graze--
There, hues tranquil, on dreams ornate you unfold
Oh! spring, how your splendor paints your motifs bold
