Of Hope, Dreams, and a Love
The four walls envelope me
Holds me down within it
A place I neither enjoy nor desire
I feel lost within these walls
They are so restrictive on me
Keep my life to a minimum
I don’t live when I’m in them
They’re a painful reminder of my past
When I solely lived within them
And didn’t know life outside
A miserable life that was
Now I understand more, desire
A full and worldly life of hope,
Dreams, and a love like no other
I hold a love that compares to none
One that these walls don’t know
And can’t comprehend, it’s
Something walls just can’t get
A life of love, complete and true
That walls can only dream of
