Ocean Smiles

I rode the many waves at sea As if they all belonged to me And every time I took a dive, I surfaced feeling more alive The sea gulls flew above their land And scurried perky, across the sand They knew this water and land the best And taught me when to stop and rest When I sat on rocks with foam at my feet, Upon my soothing ocean seat, I knew that I had found my place To bring many smiles to my face Heidi Sands 8/11/21

I could sit and watch the ocean for eternity - I wonder at the tides and thank God for the moon which brings this phenomena about, but, I have a great respect for it and never go in further if I fear its depth. That is why I love the Mediterranean because you walk and walk and still only are waist deep. I love your poem Heidi - you do write beautifully. Hugs and blessings, Jennifer.
