O' What Dark Winds And Evil This Way Comes,
Tribute To Master Poe
Dark world now born of morbid dreaded fear,
Murmurs of creeping nights, sad falling tears
Come dawn's tawny breath, horrors' icy stare
Birthing sights of misery's stench of death
Black winds blowing evil in chilling air;
Moon and stars have in distance further fled,
As one can almost hear cries from the dead!
Alas! Such is true fright, no childhood dream,
For slaying beast has crossed vanishing stream
Life and joy crashing, catastrophe weds
Weeping moans cry out as never before
Fate soon calls for flowing of bloody reds;
Reality laughs, rears its ugly head
As death taunts, entering those sick in beds!
Dark world now, its malignant curse pursue,
Hope leaves upon midnight trains overdue
Mercy balks, when mankind its truth denies
Destruction builds up as mountains of woe
Drain retribution touching dying skies;
Ghosts stare back on world fires' brighter glows
As hungry beast feasts in its dancing throes!
Dark world now born of morbid dreaded fear,
Murmurs of creeping nights, sad falling tears
Come dawn's tawny breath, horrors icy stare
Birthing sights of misery's stench of death
Black winds blowing evil in chilling air;
Moon and stars have in distance further fled,
As one can almost hear cries from the dead!
