Not a Single Sea Wave Stole
The sand dunes are empty and warm
I thought I saw you standing there
But, I had just imagined it
As sand blew on this day so fair
Pale, thin, blades of grass point the way
To things I like to think about
Maybe there is still time to share
And less time to dwell on doubt
Wishes do embrace the seashore
Like white foam from the tumbling waves
Closer and closer to be true
I stand to learn my heart engraves
Letters for you to see one day
Gleaming in wet sand, on your stroll
You will know truth, so powerful
That not a single sea wave stole
