No Promise, Please

Better no promise to me give, Words vouched seldom a long life live. Say, you’ll try, meet again, I’ll wait as if you were rain, Like rain, shall let you when you leave. Joy there’s in love to wait, As there’s in getting wet— Moments spent with you to re-live. ___________________________________________ Musings | 10.01.17 |

I love the expression used in this splendid write. Feeling like they are my words, too. Thank you sir A. Jez Burl

I liked this. The first five lines were limerick form. I thought maybe you were going for a double limerick but it is like one and a half! Lovely message in it too.

Some poem, you often feel, you don't write them; they get written. This one came out of nowhere. Thank you Andrea Dietrich for the feedback.

A beautifully-penned poem, Aniruddha. I hope she rejoins you as you wait for her in the rain. Hugs, carolyn
