Night's Requiem

As light escapes, the lustrous moon ascends a prelude to the majesties of night with shining constellations that transcend and shooting stars that burn with heaven's light. Night's canopy unfurls its galaxies with planet earth along the milky way to join with glorious skies, orbiting so free unique with life, an abundant, grand display. As Jupiter and Mars round sun again along with Venus, Pluto in its wake this requiem of solar dance began in ages past by God for His own sake. A galactic promenade in gleaming reverie ordained above in interstellar harmony. Written on 5/15/2017

Oh, I adore this ... the sky is a favorite muse of mine, and I'm forever with eyes to the heavens for inspiration. Wonderful rhythm and metre and an exquisite ambiguity that shows itself here-and-there ... like lace! Nothing is random in this Universe - ALL is of order and grand design, and you have done that its due here. Beautiful! (Not sure why I haven't read you more, but I will have to remedy that!) Blessings - keep up the great work! :-)

I love your entry for the contest Laura. I can't believe this was not on the winner's list. It is outstanding! That is what I really dislike about the premium contests, many really wonderful poems are left off the short list. I am so glad I got to read this one...it is a Fave for me! 7 ; )

I hesitate to click on sonnets sometimes, as so few of them scan properly. Yours is great. Lovely imagery. Well done.
