Nightmares

Night is here again The last was little sleep Will the flooding replay of nightmares return? Hauling me back to what is over? Will my heart beat through them? Still beating when I wake? Night is here again I think of music and stars flickering Across the sky, grateful for all I have But, I can't escape the backlash Of once was, never to be again A movie still playing in my mind Wishing the movie would stop But, it seems to have no end A sleep with actions on the screen I am there, I am in it I wake to realize it is today To face the feelings of replay Heidi Sands 9/29/17

How terrifying the night can seem Heidi when your mind is freed by sleep to roam to the depths of hell and back. I can empathize with you my friend! A great write my firend :)
