Night Images
Woke up to the flood gates again, straight from a place like hell
Momentary wet pillow, stomach turning, not feeling well
I should be accustomed to this from all the years gone by,
--- But I guess I never will be ---
The pompous evil beings who are there, hang on relentlessly
Thankfully, daylight welcomes me into the precious moment
Where I can be me: to appreciate all I have today, graciously sent
For these people are from the past, no longer seen in front of me
Now, just nasty night images is all they will ever be
It is their place in time not mine, they will eventually face
--- The outcome of their disgrace ---
