Mysteries of the Universe

Mysteries of the Universe

Too big the numbers, too big to comprehend
Trying to understand, drive you slowly round the bend
Massive, incredible, mind-blowing beyond compare
Trillions upon Trillions, a stargazing stare

Light Years, Big Bang, Spiral Galaxies far away
Whoever created this lot, had themselves a busy day
The Universe, Multiverse, expanding all the time
Microscopic points creating an unfathomable rhyme

Zodiacs, Star signs, constellations ask not why
Search for signs of life in the black night sky
A Universe of mysteries, we will never truly know
Scientific explanations, that Professor’s tell us so

Deity may have played a part, perhaps a guiding hand
But that takes lots of faith, for a thing so grand
Knowledge has evolved since Galileo and his peers
May will one day venture to the stars in future years

Mysteries of the Universe, far more than we can see,
No one truly knows what lies beyond infinity.
