My Soul
I’m on the other side of the fence
I’m trying to make a difference
And I don’t wanna figure out what’s on your mind
I’m walking a different route, so you won’t leave me behind
Let me fly, hm, let me soar to another place
Let me live, hm, let me dig deep in my own pace
Wipe that silly grin off your face right now!
Set my heart aflame with passionate glow somehow…
I’ll run away from this pain in my heart of bliss
I’ll find a way to mend your childlike happiness
Please don’t leave me with nothing to win
Don’t prey upon me, predator from deep within
Am I your one and only?
Am I the lost and lonely?
Am I as cold as cold can be?
Am I willing to be truly free?
Let me break free from captivity’s hold
Soon, you’ll depend on me – a lion so bold
I don’t mind going away from the streets I used to roam
But, don’t take away everything I have in this fine home
I wish I can freeze time on my own will
I wish you’d be here with me – so, be still
Try not to drink away all your hopes and dreams
You don’t see me, naturally breaking by the seams
I’m on the other side of the sunlight,
Waiting for you to make my night alright
Bright star of mine, your mind is wandering on its own
You’re a kind spirit of delight…know you’re not alone!
I don’t mind you igniting my satisfaction
I don’t mind your incredible compassion
As long as I have you in mind
As long as I am no longer blind
You set fire to my soul
You are the music to my skull
You set fire to my soul
You are the flames to the coal…
As long as I am on the other side of the fence,
Making an effort to make a lifelong difference
