My Sister

Oh my sister, the past got the best of her She couldn’t make it, she couldn’t endure She feared losing family, even with how harsh they were Then the evil consumed her and the rest did stir She tried to get help, they gave her more pills She tried to fight, but the evil had the skills Oh my sister, could have been anything Smart, achiever, creative, with so much to bring But, she chose to play with the devil instead Then at a young age, there she was dead She couldn’t be reached, as the tears fell While the past took her life, no longer well Heidi Sands 8/13/17

This is so sad Heidi, I haven't experienced anything like this so I don't know how it feels, but I can imagine it being terribly awful! I feel for you my friend, I really do! I hope you are doing better today than you were yesterday when you wrote this (or whenever you wrote it)! Thank you for sharing such a sentimental piece with us all, this must've been very hard to write, and think about! Great Work!!
