It was so misty in my forest dream I was wandering 'till I heard a scream, and I just knew I was slipping away; for everything around faded to gray. Mother had called, so in the dark forest I crawled, then, I was standing at God's golden gate. I was at peace and accepted my fate, then, God said no; child you need to go back below. I awoke in a hospital that day, for weeks and weeks that dream was a replay; I had stood waiting at the gates of death, and given back the gift of breath. So I knew then, that this life is precious, amen. I have but one life amazing and wild, and I have been reborn like a new child; full of wonder. This precious life is my thunder! ____________________________ October 14, 2018 Poetry/Rhyme/My One Wild and Precious Life Copyright Protected, ID 18-1071-244-01 All Rights Reserved. Constance, this is a beauty. I never entered the contest because I could not think up an idea, but in my opinion, you nailed that topic!

A compelling read that allows the reader to share two realms of existence as perceived through your "dream," my friend. In my own NDE, I never made it to the gates of heaven, but I believe the soul freely travels from earthly life to spiritual existence. A remarkable entry for Line's contest. Wishing you success! Hugs, Carolyn

What a treasure for you if true, and what a hope if not. Lovely.
