My Lover, My Friend

Yes I was, Trying hard not to fall; A distant call, far from it all. Yes I was A lost echo with no one near, Devoured with raging pain and helpless fear. Could have never imagined, That I’ll ever trust in him; That life would no longer be so dull and dim, That he’ll desire me as much as I desired him. Could have never imagined That life would have no more hit and run, That he’ll be warmer than the blazing sun, Yet so wild and yearning for crazy fun. I thought I believed in love But no, I had no clue He guides me softly, sweetly To where dreams can beautifully come true. He’s my guiding light The poet of loving hearts My lover, my friend My healer in every way.
