My Life's Journey

My life has been filled with many
ups and downs, and many times
I felt as if I didn't belong. Searching
all my life for a place to belong. trying to
make it in this world on my own
Seeking and trying to find the
strength to stand
Trying to understand this world
the best way I can
Often failing, but yet I rise from
beyond the ashes of beater tears
of self-seeking will
Trying to find acceptance of those
in my life
I am awakened to the reality
of God's precious love
He keeps me from going under
in beater defeat
He whispers in my ear I am loved
