I Care As I Search
I care and I search for the favor of God...
grateful for breath of life, strength to pursue fulfillment-bliss
as His steward, assured with victory over indolence.
I care as I search for the grace of the Lord...
along eternal life's joy, midst moments to smile while at work
even trying to touch someone with lovingkindness.
I care while I search for pardon from the Saviour...
admitting my complaining manner, discontentment over blessings
unforgiving attitude, towering pride, overwhelming selfishness.
I care likewise to search for hope midst prayer toward the Almighty...
that my faith would increase toward helpful deeds, love would indeed flourish
and wisdom would abound against grievous choices.
I care indeed and I search for the way and truth, exalting Christ...
while leading others to His peace with jubilant heart and glad* spirit.
*Psalm 70:4 Let all those that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee: and let such as love thy salvation say continually, Let God be magnified.
