My First Time...

I remember the first time I was allowed, To ride my horse alone; It was like nothing I had ever felt before, Just riding along, my hair windblown; I felt like I was the Lone Ranger, Sitting atop my trusty steed; Of course he was a long shot from Silver, And I don’t even know his breed; But he was good enough for the little girl, Who loved him with all her heart; And riding alone on my powerful charger, My mother swears it was art; With him prancing to the side, His gray coat shining bright; And me just cruising along, Laughing out loud with delight; I guess it must have been the smile, That I couldn’t erase from my face; Memories like that really are, Difficult to replace; Since that first time I have ridden a lot, It gave me a passion of my own; And I dream all the time of riding, Fierro into the unknown! ~5th Place in the "First Time" Contest by Joe Flach~

Tirzah= That is my point of the poem. There isn't any official "footle". I have written Oxford university press to see if can solicite info on how to correct this. Fact I think I'll do a blog too. appreciate the comment. Charles
