My Favorite Place

I’ve often dreamed of seeing all of the wonders of the world, To see all of the breathtaking things that would put me in awe. Last night I dreamed of the most beautiful and enchanting place, I felt one with nature, and everything was so invigorating, that my senses became calm and carefree. I never knew such a place existed, I didn’t want to leave. Until I realized that you weren’t with me, and I felt alone and empty. I woke up clutching my chest until I realized you were lying right beside me. Alexis Y. 8/01/2020
