My Dearest Friend
Dear Sir,
'tis wi' heavy heart an' deepest trepidation I submit t' y' this work o' little talent. Sure as I am o' failure an' defeat
in this my umpteenth try at evadin' rejection an' steelin' meself t' this expected end, I am never the less askin' that y' read
it. If nay f' me then f' the wife who's supported me in relative comfort through these years of obscurity. So in 'er case
could y' deign from bein' the cold heartless wretch that y' are for a few moments and let y' closed mind open to read and
deliberate on this sample of me work.?
I remain your devoted and loyal comrade and companion in this race to obscurity known as life.
PS What ever you decide consider my reactions to be a contribution to the goodness and greater advancement of
humanity
