My Crimson Friend
Give me passage,
my crimson friend
with each sip, take me there
your vintage passenger to send
far away to places fair
Let me drink away the years
through memories,
so sure and sweet
and leave behind prevailing tears
with reverie for me to greet
By your empathetic grace
I would feel
yet just once more
the charm of youth upon my face
relived with every glass I pour
