My Brother, My Enemy
My brother in me sees a foe
And in that foe he sees a friend
In desperation, am stuck
For to flee, there is no end
And for my sake I whimper not
But with tears far surpasses King Lear’s,
Over his lost soul I bawl
What invisible cataract blinds his eyes?
What spell cast by Medusa confuses him?
Together we’ve toiled, broiled and brawled
For that in my heart, thou art glued
Of my brothers, you are alone
Brought forth by a mum who slept
And out of our world crept
Why, brother?
Why disregard me?
Why strive to quell me?
My brother sees in me a foe
And in that foe, sees a friend
For myself I lament not
But for my lost brother, I whoop
