Musing On Myself
I have thought it prudent
To be authentically me
Genuine, 100 percent, real
It’s how I must be
To live my life happily
Content in my inner being
With that good self-image
I have found it so freeing
Despite the glitches
I’ve filtered out now and then
My feelings of self-worth
Have been here since when
And I am thankful to be me
No other would I aspire
To be, so thankful I am here
At last, I shall retire
And live the rest with ease
Without a care in the world
Nothing to trouble my rest
Transparent, I am unfurled.
