Moving On

You didn't see me there; i spotted you and turned, although my anger burned. I knew you wouldn't care, and would ignore my glare. So many lovers spurned! So much I longed to say - those bitter words unsaid were tumbling round my head, my thoughts were on the day you turned and walked away (I wished that I were dead). But now I realise it's pointless to despise. written 7th March for Emile's HexSonnetta contest

Congratulations Jack! Your poem earned a distinguished place in my contest, you should be proud of your placing, this was a challenging form, but your poem caught my eye, well done my friend, Emile.

Yes, for sure if a person has anger toward another it will only eat away at the person with the anger best always to let it go. Reads like a good contender to me. Way to go. Thanks for all the visits to my page. Sara

You really capture the frustration of one whose love has been spurned, Jack. Frankly, I don't think she could possibly have been good enough for you. Very sad, poem, that evokes a great deal of emotion. Best wishes for a win! Hugs, Carolyn (Yes, Aunt Eva's poem was as funny as she was!)
