Falling Snow
Snow is falling, in the dim morning light.
The sky is an overcast color of gray.
A snowfall is always a beautiful sight.
It can add something special to any day.
The snowflakes seem to float in the breeze.
They appear to go here and there.
When they land, they join the others and freeze.
Creating an endless sea of white to share.
A beautiful red Cardinal, comes into view
Showing off as he flies from tree to tree.
Appearing to be busy with so much to do.
His color stands out, making him easy to see.
Will take walk, a place a little out of the way.
And feel the fine crystals of ice hit my face.
It is too windy and cold out here to stay.
I will go home, sit in front of my fireplace.
