Morning Ritual

I awake each morn with gratitude for life, I bow in prayer in reverence to God himself- give thanks for my daughter, for being a wife, praise Him for His glory, my wonderful health. I know I need not material things nor wealth. I sit down and write in my daily journal, read a passage from my book of meditation- Each new day new prose with hope eternal, each word filled with faith and wonderful inspiration. My daily morning ritual brings a calming sensation. May my mornings bring ease- may my passion never cease. May my intellect increase- and my serenity bring peace. luloo, as I read this, I found it so beautiful and intriguing I began to regret entering the contest. Some of the wording parallels my poem, but your poem, because of the flow and actual prose far excels what I wrote. If you don't take a first place win with this, I'll be surprised.
