Moment of Silence

Footprints in snow shall melt away Doves stand guard for this standing stone The sky hints blue over gray And tears fall for a love once known The wind passes through with a chill I'll feel its cold for a second Sun rays pass through limbs naked still And give a sense Angels beckoned The chiseled stone will stay silent And words come always from within While I whisper their pained lament I'll place a rose on the stone again 12/20/12

Frederic, a piercing, excellent poem, so complete; every stanza standing well on its own.
