Missing Mother - Life of Regrets

Lost my mother when young Wished I listened to her words She would often tell me, "Skills I know would be lost Help me in household work Post wedding you will need these skills" I never needed to her words Now every job seems tough to do When young, my clothes would be spotless, Now clothes I scrub endlessly, dirt doesn't go Her delicious food, I still miss Now when my son tells mom your food is not good I regret not listening to her words I regret not noting down her tips, her tricks Those recipes so tempting We seldom live with foresight Thinking endless is our life But suddenly miseries strike We're left helplessly struck, Sudden lighting striking us Imbibe skills from others while they're there willing to tell Tomorrow is unknown Otherwise life of regret you will live Every moment of existence, tormenting. ~~~~~ 11.06.2021 For lipogram poem contest, Emile Pinet Character omitted - A No "A" checked at PS grammar checker Winner 9th position

There is somethings precious lost to our hearts and lives at the passing of a mother. But please remember, you maybe did not treasure the wisdom that speaks to you now back when it was uttered, but you treasure and embrace it now. Your child too will see all that you so lovingly try to impart as well, maybe later, but truly, that is often the case. You too are a legacy. Just look at this lovely poem, it is beautiful! You have honored your mother with this touching poem. God bless you Rama <3
