Mirror, Do You Lie To Me

Mirror, do you lie to me? For when I intently gaze into The smooth, reflective surface that is you I see piercing eyes and spiking hair Beauty that will always stay there. But when I step outside the room Gone is my naïve, innocent bloom, For people, they seem to hate with a passion The way I look for no real reason — Black, they say, is a colour satanic, And that my accessories are demonic, They say my height is that of a kid's And the way I carry myself is stupid, So mirror, mirror, lest I cry, Tell me, is my so-called "beauty" a lie?
