Minion Madness

Centaurs, Unicorns
Monsters, Dragons
creatures with no right
 to wings

Disappeared,
died out
like some manufactured things

Inventions of ancient
gene- manipulating men ?
who cowered once from
these, their own inventions.

Mis-managed science, genius,
minions,
or un-leashed
chaos on themselves,

Human kind destroyed,
preyed upon by
Minotaurs
they made and cherished.

You are so right, Richard: I have always thought that cloning and genetics could produce a lot of irreversible madness. Best to keep Pandora's Box closed. SuZ

A unique topic to write about ... how indeed can one be scared of their own inventions?? Your words make me ponder. There's an interesting story actually about the myth of the cyclops ... some theorize that Homer stumbled up mammoth skulls, and with the cavity in the middle of the heads, they look very much like a one-eyed beast. And thus the legend was born!
