Midsummer Magic
Midsummer magic’s soon on cavalcade,
smelling of bathing suits and lemonade.
The sights and sounds you hear are nature made
with mating calls of life that serenade.
The golden sunset warms the world and fades
casting shadows and long evening shades,
while creatures sleep peacefully in glades
and stars surround the moon in white cascades.
Midsummer days will soon be on parade
with greenery and beauty all displayed.
You wish the coming Autumn could be swayed
to make its onset just a bit delayed.
