Memories of Her
I saw you and I fell in love -
I didn't think that was possible,
until I truly lost my heart.
A whirlwind romance...
so nice but could it last?
I prayed we'd never part.
I wondered was it worth it,
but then I conquered doubt
(when I looked in your eyes).
Of course it wasn't worth it -
or so I'd tell myself now
(now I know of your lies).
Yet, I could forgive and forget -
perhaps we could still make it work?
But, no, you wouldn't want to try again.
In my heart, I know you're right.
We're wrong for one another.
Let's say 'Adieu' and avoid more pain.
