Memoir
So many stories
Tales of odd fancy
Old as memory
Strands of history
Floating out to sea
Gripes and groans set free
In a chance meeting
Time presides fleeting
Moments etch shouting
Glimpses of time past
Bridging first to last
Now somewhat aghast
Who can you then trust?
Finesse soon must rust
Flesh and bones to dust
Write words to write well
Dance of deep dark tells
Just the times we dwell
Round and round we trip
Hollow laughter grips
Bitter-sweet sad sip
All that can be said
Raw ink stains now laid
Blank paper gets paid
Beware of such times
When logic fails rhyme
In a dying chime
Learn to be handy
Know integrity
From fickle fancy
Round the forlorn bend
Death blesses end trend
In a fruitful span
