May 14, 2014

May 14, 2014 He went away on a beautiful spring day, not a cloud in the sky, and I often wonder why, the weather was so nice and dry, with the flowers in bloom, and the birds all singing their cheerful tune... You see the cancer had invaded his lungs and brain, his vocal chords were paralyzed, it should have rained... Yes it should have been raining and cloudy and gray, the day Dad left us and passed away.

It is an invasive and brutal disease Cheryl, I have written about my battle with bowel cancer in acrostic form.

Cheryl, Welcome to Poetry soup, I hope you enjoy the community. Here, you will find friendly poets who enjoy supporting one another. I myself, enjoy reading and commenting those who want to be read. The only time I give constructive criticism is when a poet desires it. However, if for some reason the poem is not my field I will guide you to someone who is more qualified than I. Stop by and read one of my poems if you like. My poems are not perfect, but I have a feeling you might like one. I encourage you to check out the contest page and read to receive comments. Tell me a little about your poetic skills if you like. It will be my pleasure to follow and read every poem you post from here on :) We are Lucky To Have you. Your New Poet Friend @-> LINDA <-@

Thanks Linda, you are very nice and encouraging. I try to get on the computer as much as I can but some days are so hectic its impossible to. (Thats why this reply is so late, sorry!) This is new territory for me I might add so I don't have a whole lot of experience! Your poet friend, Cheryl
