Mariautumn and Luggburger
MariAutumn was perched on an oak root, one of a kind.
It had formed into the perfect seat this October, a comfy notch.
Her pet ladybug Luggburger and she were debating their latest find.
Necklace said MariAutumn. Luggbuger thought it was a watch.
How could it be a watch? MariAutumn argued. It does not tell time.
Ladybug did not know, but something told her it was.
A pine cone came along and tried to interject, but he was a mime.
Turn it over, Luggburger told MariAutumn, and there it was!
A face with numbers, and two hands attached to the middle.
They were delighted; now deciding to keep it forever and a day.
Don’t play with it! Truly! Don’t fiddle, dawdle or diddle!
Along came a human though who promptly took it away.
