Make a Wish
I am wishing for impossible things like yesterday,
nothing has been easier than wishing on stars;
I have waited to take her soft hand and gently
hold it with true joy in my warm arms,
now they are no words for me to say.
I have dreamed of being endlessly loved,
but nobody ever gave me those tender lips
I needed to kiss and start being very glad;
only the moonlight shone through clouds
and warmed this face so cold and afraid.
