Rhythmed ...
          Hearts thrum ...
               Some, far heavier than others
Darker, deeper, more tender and intense

Those, hung on the hook of vows and affiance
So quickened by a mournful word
A word that bloats with promise and dream
Its hems, glinting with hopeful sparks

The most treasured of tales
          A grand and vainglorious lie
               Honed, precise, with sublime edge
To bleed the beats to stillness ... "forever"

Oh, thank you so much, CayCay, this means a great deal to me ... I'm not getting many comments lately, (just haven't had time to read and comment on other's), so when I DO it's even sweeter, and when it's from someone whose work I truly admire like you, it makes my day! I'm so pleased you got this one ... I was thinking of all the people I've heard that word from over the years, and how it now means absolutely nothing.

(2) Sad, really, for even the Universe will someday end. Sad, also, that it's very often so conditional. Blessings, Dear Poet! :o) <3
