Mad World

People rushing everywhere Trying to find familiar places Neon lights flashing fear On gaunt faces filled with despair Happiness is bought and sold, In the suburbs they sell it cheap People haunted by their dreams They need more drugs to fall asleep People rushing everywhere Trying to buy their happiness In school, it would appear That children are learning something new They're learning to have affairs And it's the teacher that's getting screwed 5/8/17 Based on Mad World by Gary Jules

This is very true, I believe the blame should be given to the school system itself. No child left behind, I find highly ridiculous. I have two kids in school with a third starting next year. My middle child is in 3rd grade, his teacher grades only off of effort. 3rd grade with a 1st grade reading level. And she will pass him through to 4th grade even though he isn't ready. Just like they did to him last year.

oh wow, what a PLAY on words at he end of this. I'm with Becca. that was unexpected and I LIKED it. I was gonna do my poem on Mad World too but I opted for the easier one to do: the one about happiness!
