LYRIC MAN-CHAPTER 2

...And mobile he was. In fact, for several years this happy little duo traveled the world and had many truly amazing adventures together. You know, there are just some places on our planet too incredible to take in alone!

Kids.. let that word sink in..
Children ushered in significant change! There was without a doubt a heightened anticipation that brought energy and excitement with each birth. He had always had a special place in his heart for children, in particular kids that have been mistreated or abused, having experienced the angish of that through a best friend at school, and ultimately in his own personal family. But now, he would be having his own children. Dad.. a role he had dreamed of and longed for was becoming his true reality.

The busy writer also quickly came to the realization that all of those dreamy, romantic world ventures would now be occasional at best. The road, and all her many charms, would become his seductive mistress. He would sip in her beauty and be intoxicated with her many infatuations. But she could never truly satisfy or compare with a happy, yet somewhat chaotic, home.

The pain of absence, the unfulfilled promise of the road, became to him.. a source of amazing inspiration. All the agony in LM's "break-up" writes are real. The feelings, the longing.. it's all there and authentic. He can now be sitting in a lonely hotel room, looking out the window, watching a dreary rain. Simultaneously missing his true loves at home. And instantly and effortlessly the words and lines can flow of deep sorrows felt.. making the writer both comfortably miserable and yet quite fulfilled! A writer's melancholy is gold!

I feel the exquisite ecstasy and agony flowing from your pen, LM. I truly can relate to all that you express. Particularly about home ... loneliness, tho' company surrounded. Elegant ruminations from your elevated perch in life. Ty for dispensing mustard seeds of wisdom to the lowly scribe boughs. Supernova sequel. Must-read the other installs. Listening to "Slomotion" by the Jazzmasters while reading this. Perfect aural/visual mix. Love and joy always. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XBImosJdia8

Hi Lyric, Great write . I agree nothing compares to being a parent. Although kids can be a challenge becoming a mom was the best thing that happened to me. I can't wait to read the next chapter:-) Alexis

Chapter 2 gives us the kids. Rather than the culture presenting them as extending the love of two lovers ... often, sadly, kids are presented as a hard duty, or a unwanted byproduct of sexual acts (meant only for the Two Heterosexuals). I can't say much of other kinds of relationships, being a pastor & all. I liked the "maturing" relationships, good & sad sides of kids/dads. Roles do change in Love/Marriage. shalom shalom my brother. Write On righting UP!

Nothing more fulfilling than being called Dad or Mum.Having kids will definitely make us more sensitive to other kids who don't have the opportunities and treasures our kids have..When that is your job..then that takes more than just feeling for those kids..It takes more action..and the lyric man..did that and more.Awesome bio.

Everything falls into place, in the way that it is meant to, and in the right time. I believe this to be true. You have experienced life, you have lived it, and moments are still unfolding for you. Stars are meant to be reached. Even if the journey is long. I can feel your heart in every word. These moments in your life. ~ Brandy

The joy of children and family always the source of love and longing even if it meant a significant change. The earlier travels no doubt provided a world perspective to think and rationalize. I hear the upcoming melancholic write..keep writing LM.

D, to be able to find, seek your purpose is a life-mission... and somewhere between child advocacy ( like mine) and longing for home's comfort is divine light which tells you, 'all is well...' and the romance of the gypsy-road paves its way for human love, finally, agape... beautiful and so glorious!...journey on!...huggs
