Love In the Void

As you grow older one comes across Different battles different hardships Dealing with the Satan and the sins We got to learn to handle it Frustrating and killing it is We got to learn to handle it The guilt is there to remind No solace we find There was a guilt of being in the family but not wholly belonging Call of ambitions was strong I chased my dreams he his Love was neither given nor received As we lived under one roof In separate ways Realizing the futility of all I gave in As the nucleus In the atom is a must ,and must be stable I started giving attention to him Took care to cook his choice Kept the house clean and Remained cheerful and loving Slowly the bond Grew stronger and love Has made an entry, it has entered The void we had created.

I echo the sentiment of Demetrios below. Welcome to Poetry Soup! This is an intriguing write full of depth and rich with its use of language. It almost feels like a misclassified lyric, particularly at the start. If you haven't alteady, check out a poet here named John Hamilton. He's a wonderful poet/lyricist and a great guide for such writes. Either way, this is lovely and profound. Look forward to reading more from you

Profound and thought provoking my friend, Bawa! Welcome to our poetic family! I liked your poem and its intensity! Love is the universal form that unites everything! Good is to sacrifice our egos on the altar of love if we wish a relationship to grow and remain strong!
