Lost With My Muse

I look up at the trees so high Leaves flutter like a butterfly The sun flickers though the branches All that surrounds me enhances The light spreads all across the yard For a moment, nothing is hard Air is warm, life is like the breeze Softly flowing, I am at ease Suddenly, I lose track of time Lost with my muse into this rhyme A bird wakes me with a loud song As a perfect day, moves along *8 Syllables per line Heidi Sands 6/10/17
