There must be a place, like an elephant bone-yard,
Where lost loves go to wait for a dance,
A place where perhaps they might not feel so lonely,
And can dream that they still have a chance.
In this beautiful place a blue ribbon's not bad,
And there's honor in just coming close,
All regrets here are shed like an unneeded skin,
Any thoughts that you failed - grandiose!
Where salt tears shed in vain simply transform to rain
That God sends us to nurture new growth,
And our paths to the future are all paved with gold,
Rainbow promises beckon us both.
For I swear long lost love you are still in my heart,
Know - we've not seen the end of God's plan.
Rejoice in the fact that till time comes to an end,
You are woman and I am a man.
