Lost In a Melody
Grass is underneath my bare feet
Soft blades touching toes
Vast sky above is like an ocean
White clouds of ships pass by
Others stretch like sails to be seen
All different sizes, changing
The bird keeps on singing
Singing all day in the woods
Hidden in blankets of branches
A warbling melody is heard
And when I walk trying to see it,
It is heard from another place
Then, I stand still in the middle
Of a melody that circles around me
It carries on and on through the air
Beyond every thought I have
An unreachable, endless song
With each breath of my life in the center
